I look at this picture of my youngest daughter and think I must have entered a time warp because there is no way 10 years has gone by that fast. Ten years only goes by at normal speed when kids are not involved. This photo brings back so many fond memories beside all of the memories of having this small face, with small hands and a small ice cream shirt and blue shorts. This photo brings me back to my garden in California. The garden I worked years to get into a rhythm with. This garden saw the best and worst of me. This garden taught me the hard work, blood, sweat, and tears I put into it would pay off with a bountiful harvest month after month, year after year.
To say I miss this garden is a huge understatement. When we said our finally goodbyes to our little farm in the mountains of California, I had to pause for a bit longer and tell my garden how thankful I was for all it taught me.
