Teach Them Young- My Daughter Learns How to Milk a Goat

My youngest daughter just loves the “farm” life. She is always asking me to teach her how to do something. Her curiosity is on high speed mode all the time. I love how children enjoy life.

Our Goat Herd Keeps Expanding – Our Newest Addition

We got a new kid doe! This time she is only 4 days old. She looks so tiny compared to the 2 1/2 month old kid doe (Whispering Wind aka Whisper) we got last Wednesday. I guess I just can’t get enough of these goats. When our breeder offered her to us we just couldn’t pass up the deal. So now we have 5 goats all together.

We are still trying to think of names. So far there have been no good suggestions.

I absolutely love her stockings. Actually they are more like leg warmers since the white does not go all the way to her feet. Read the rest of this entry »

Our New LaMancha Kid Doe

We have added a new LaMancha to our small herd of goats. She is two and a half month old LaMancha kid doe and she is so precious.

It seems that my 6 year old has taken a liking to her. How can you not? She is so sweet. She is going to be my daughter’s 4 H show goat and eventually our second milking doe. Read the rest of this entry »
