Google Analytics – A Web Publisher’s Best Friend

There are a few tools I have found over the past years of blogging that have really helped me in gaining traffic to my blogs. One of those tools is Google Analytics. Google not only created one of the best web traffic statistics analyzer available on the web but it is also completely free.

What Google Analytics offers.

With Google Analytics you can view where your traffic is coming from, how much traffic you are getting and how long visitors are staying on your site. Blog Tips Tuesday – Adding a Subscribe by Email Option

There are many ways for visitors to subscribe to your blog but the one that is most important is the subscribe by email option. Why? Because everyone has an email but not everyone has a Google Connect account, Facebook or Twitter. By adding a subscribe by email option your content is able to reach your readers in a way the is usually most comfortable. Unlike the other subscription options your readers can view your email at anytime without worrying about missing any information.

How do you add a subscription option? Feedburner is the most widely used free feed subscription platform on the internet. It’s also easy to use. There are other platforms but I would recommend starting with feedburner because of it’s ease of use and because it’s free. You can also view stats on emails read, clicks and downloads.

Do your readers a favor and add a subscribe by email option. If you have any questions about adding a subscribe option to your blog leave a comment and I will do my best to help you.

You can get away with making a lot of other publishing mistakes if you have a user friendly blog site. Always think about the site from the visitors point of view if gaining repeat visitors is your goal.
