Let Me Introduce Myself

My name is Mona Weathers and I am the author of this blog.  I have been away too long and thought you all might need me to reintroduce myself. 🙂

Anyway, things have been busy around here and finding time to blog has been a challenge. My husband came up with the idea to schedule 2 hours each week for writing. So, the plan is for me to write while my husband is home on Fridays while he plays his favorite videogames with multiplayer battles. I am very hopeful. It’s a very frustrating thing when you have so much to write about and so little time to do it.

I have been able to keep the Healthy Homesteading Facebook page updated pretty regularly. We have over 1200 likes! If you haven’t already, like the page :).

Now all I have to do is organize my thoughts. That’s a challenge for me. Anyone else having difficulty finding time to blog or is it just me? 😉

Hopefully, your will be hearing more from me soon.

  • Good to see you back!! Looking forward to your posts!

Glad to see that you are back. I wondered what had happened. We do get busy and the blogs get set aside.

  • I sympathize fully. When I’m busiest- canning season, sewing projects for the kids, beautiful trip to Oregon coast, etc., I think to myself— I’d love to blog about this but when do I find the time? Possibly having 6 kids to be helping with school, piano, taking to ortho., watching their games, etc. has something to do with the time crunch? 🙂 When I do have down time, I end up relaxing by reading other ladies inspiring blogs!

ps- A few months ago I made the deodorant recipe you posted and I really like it! Thanks for sharing it.

  • Glad I’m not a lone Ann :). It’s a busy season of life for us. It sounds like your life is even busier than mine. I guess there will be a season things will slow down a bit. Hopefully ;).
Glad you like the deodorant :).

  • Amy:

I hope to one day have a sustainable farm just like you for my 3 children. My husband and I also live in Southern California and are looking for land to do so. Thank you for sharing your journey.
